M.A., Registered Mental Health Counselor

Aubrey is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with extensive experience assisting children and adolescents as they navigate stressors and transitions in their life journey.

She utilizes over a decade of experience and training as both an elementary school teacher as well as a school counselor in elementary and middle schools across Florida.  She is uniquely equipped to handle school-related concerns, but also focuses on children who are navigating through grief, separation or divorce, anxiety, or their personal identity in the teen years.  She’s passionate about incorporating expressive arts given her background and interests in both play therapy and dance.  Her child-centered approach is one that allows children to develop and nurture their feelings through outward expression in order to strengthen their internal resiliency.

Aubrey recognizes the importance of tending to family needs, and as such, she’s passionate about helping parents, particularly women navigating the ups and downs of motherhood.  To this end, she maintains a focus on mental health in pregnancy, in the postpartum period, and for first-time moms.  She believes that emotional connectivity and awareness by parents is critical to healthy child development.

On a personal level, Aubrey enjoys spending time with her young daughter (who is likely busy searching for bugs in the backyard), expanding connections with friends and family, and being in nature.
