Aubrey Gainey

M.A., Registered Mental Health Counselor

A white woman smiling softly with a warm presence in front of a blurred background of trees and nature

Aubrey is a license-eligible Mental Health Counselor who is deeply committed to supporting families- whether she is guiding children and adolescents through the challenges and discoveries of growing up or working with parents as they navigate the stressors of parenthood. With over a decade of experience as both an educator and school counselor in elementary and middle schools, Aubrey brings a deep understanding of the academic, emotional, and social factors that impact the wellbeing of today’s youth. Recognizing that growth happens within the context of family, Aubrey collaborates with parents and caregivers to strengthen communication and nurture connection at home. Her hope is that families feel heard, understood, and empowered through the messiness and magic of family life.

Aubrey is especially passionate about providing trauma-informed, highly attuned care to the clients she supports. She has a special place in her heart for individuals with high sensitivity or neurodivergence, honoring their individuality and strengths. Aubrey is also experienced in supporting those experiencing grief, anxiety, low self-esteem, changes within the family structure, and many more complexities of life.

Aubrey is now accepting new clients of all ages, from children to adults. Through play-based and person-centered approaches, she creates a safe, welcoming space where clients can explore their feelings, express themselves freely, and connect with their inner resilience.

On a personal level, Aubrey loves spending time with her daughter, connecting with friends and family, and being in nature.
