Have Questions? Let Us Help!
Your first therapy appointment is all about understanding your needs.
For child therapy, we start with parents or caregivers only to learn about your child’s behaviors, environment, and relationships.
For teens and adults, the intake session is with the client, though teens can include parents if they wish. We’ll discuss therapy expectations and create a clear plan together, building trust from the very beginning.
Schedule your first appointment now!
We schedule you for an hour on our calendar and plan to spend at least 50 mins of that time with you or your child in therapy. We use the remaining time to check in about progress, scheduling, and cleaning!
We often recommend beginning sessions on a weekly basis. However, we know there are limitations to this recommendation and work with you or your family to find a frequency that meets all of your goals. We’ll work with you to set goals for therapy and track progress toward meaningful change.
We also provide extended sessions when necessary and book our parent consultations for as much or little time as needed.
Yes. We believe caregivers are an important part of the process. For child therapy, we often include parents or caregivers through check-ins, guidance, and shared planning so support can continue beyond the session.
Yes, your sessions are private and confidential, except in cases of risk of harm to yourself or others, suspected abuse/neglect, or as required by law (e.g., court orders). For full details, see our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.
For minors, your therapy sessions are private, but there are exceptions. We won’t share what you discuss unless you give permission, there’s a risk of harm to you or others, or if we’re required by law (e.g., abuse or a court order). Under Florida law, either parent can consent to treatment, but this doesn’t mean they automatically see everything you share. If you have concerns, talk to your therapist.
